History and Architecture:

The first service was held by Rev Harding in 1871. The first Methodist Church was a plain weatherboard building erected in 1871.

The church was constructed away from the town centre in 1885 by David Coulter who arrived in the district in the 1870s. A monument was erected by local residents in the grounds of the Church to commemorate those who served in World War One.
