History and Architecture:
Divine service was first held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barker, who were the earliest settlers at Pinery, and later worship was also conducted in the homes of Messrs. Woods and Spargo. On June 23rd., 18S0, the foundation stone of the Church was laid by Mrs. Barker, and on November 7th. the building was opened for public worship by Rev. C. Tresise. The land on which the Church stands was the gift of Mr. Spargo.
The church was erected in 1880 and has two large buttresses at the rear. The Centenary of the Church was held over the two days on the 10th and 11th of August 1913. The Monday evening meeting was crowded to overflowing. The meeting was presided over by Mr G Marsh, M.A. Addresses were given by the chairman, Rev R H Lee.
