History and Architecture:
A plaque reads, " This plaque commemorating the Centenary of the first Catholic Church built in Proserpine on land donated by Joseph and Charles Busettin, was blessed by the Most Reverend Bishop Michael Putney D.D. 27th November 2004. Parish Priest Rev Jose Koyickal CM".
A Foundation stone reads, " Most Reverend H.E. Ryan Bishop of Townsville blessed and placed the foundation stone of this church under the patronage of St Catherine on the 30th October 1955".
