History and Architecture:
The first church Church was blessed and opened on 10th July 1881.
A Foundation stone was laid on 16 January 1910. R.E. Symons and Co were the builders and A.A. Feltch were the Architects. The cost of the church was £3,730 and was built by Messrs Moore Bros and Symonds of Echuca. The Church was built of brick with a Romanesque style. The nave measured 75 feet by 35 feet and the transepts each 20 feet 6 inches by 15 feet, with seating accommodation for 500 adults. The Presbytery was commenced in 1917 at a cost of £3,000.
In 1889 Rochester became a separate parish taking in Corop and Tennyson.
