History and Architecture:

The first Church of England was built on land donated by Martha Reddall. It was opened on March 13, 1859 by Rev P. J. Smith. After 25 years the stone had crumbled so badly that the building was demolished. The site of this stone church was just inside the double gates of the present church ground. The foundation for a new building was laid on January 26, 1884 by Miss Annie Reddall. The Gothic structure was opened on Wednesday, March 24, 1886.
