History and Architecture:

The first Wesleyan services in Rockhampton were conducted in 1864, and the first church opened in Kent Street in August that year.

A Foundation stone was laid to the Glory of God by Rev S.C. Monro President of Queensland Methodist Conference 11th April 1959. Minister Rev S.J.R. Murr - This Church opened and dedicated to the Glory of God by Rev C.A. Read President of Queensland Methodist Conference 12th December 1959.

Organ:

The pipe organ, originally located in the old church, was built in 1913 by B.B. Whitehouse & Co. of Brisbane at a cost of £457. A full description can be seen here.
