History and Architecture:
A plaque reads, " This church became part of the Southport Co Operative Parish (Congregational, Methodist, Presbyterian) on 1st July 1984 and of the Uniting Church in Australia Southport Parish on 22nd June 1977".
A further plaque reads, " Southport Methodist Church in memory of the fallen and all who served in world war 1 & 11 This stone was set by the Rev J. Tulip LTh President of the Queensland Conference on July 18th 1964. Rev T.C. Toft LTh".
