A Foundation stone reads, " To the Glory of God this stone was set by the President of the Conference Rev N.H. Grimmett LTh on 25th February 1962. St Lucia Methodist Church Rev J. Tainton BA BD Rev R.T. Nugent DiP DO Ministers E.J. Coulter Secretary G.H. Beer Treasurer".

The Organ was built by Noel Ferguson of Cairns in 1951, for his residence. It had 2 manuals, 4 ranks extended, electric action. Installed in the present location in 1970 with additions by H.W. Jarrott of Brisbane. It had 2 manuals, 5 ranks extended, electric action. Extensive repairs in 2019 by Doug Milne and Graham Hyde of Brisbane.
