History and Architecture:

The foundation stone was laid on 21st December 1935 by Florence Mack, widow of Albert Walter Mack and was opened on 28th March 1936 as Verdun Mack Memorial Methodist church. The church is made of red brick and has a porch attached with seating accommodation of 150.  The first church was opened in July 1879 as Stanley Bridge Bible Christian.

 It is now closed and used as an Art gallery.
