History and Architecture:

An external board reads, "Erected as a memorial 70 pioneers, James and Robin Walker of Wallerowang; by their daughter, Georgina Barton. built by George Donald. Architect Blacket & Son. Heritage listed in NSW in 2004 opened in November,1881, with Presbyterian and Church of England asked to supply Services, and in 1952 both made now in common. Closure from 2001 because of need to repair the tower. St Johns was reopened in May 2006, with the Presbyterian Church and the friends of St Johns now tenure in common. Our joint aim is to continue the trust and preserve Christian Denominational worship for people in this place".
