The first services were held in the Brighton RSL hall in 1954.

In 1952 Messrs Zilm and A. Cheney, Elders of St. Paul's elders of St Paul's Trinity and Colonel Light Gardens respectively, foresaw the possibility of the growing Warradale area and that the few Lutherans residing in the district had no ready access to either of these congregations.

On 19 June a meeting held at the home of Mr L. Wilksch for the purpose of considering the possibility of commencing a Sunday School in the Warradale Institute.

The original Hall was built by G.H. Rippin at a cost of £3,954.00 and dedicated on 23 March 1958.

On 11 August 1958 a meeting was held to discuss building a church on land that was purchased in 1952. A tender submitted by Mr P.D. Madigan to erect a cream brick structure at a cost of £4,950.00. The foundation stone was laid on 28 June 1958 and the dedication service took place 22 November 1959.
