A Foundation stone reads, " West End Methodist Memorial Church To the Glory of God and in memory of those who served their country 1914 - 1918 1939 - 1945 and as a tribute to the early pioneers of the church - This stone was laid by Mr W.H. Green JP FRGS 21-8-1954".
