The church was relocated to its present position and renamed St John’s and a dedication Service was held on 6th November 1965.

The Organ was built in 1966 by Laurie Pipe Organs. It was enlarged in 1985 and again in 1990 by S.J. Laurie. It has 2 manuals, 4 ranks + mixture extension, electro-pneumatic action.
