History and Architecture:

The church at North Wonthaggi was originally located at Dudley. On October 1", 1928 a meeting was held to form the North Wonthaggi Methodist Trust under the leadership of Rev A Geddes as Chairman. At this meeting it was moved that application be made to purchase a block of land in North Wonthaggi with the view to moving the Church. ) On the 22nd October 1928 the church building was moved from Dudley to its location in McKenzie Street and the name changed from Dudley Church to North Wonthaggi Methodist Church. This project was accomplished without incurring any debt.

One wall plaques read, " These buildings were acquired by the Salvation Army to continue service to the Glory of God 5th December 1976 C. Wiseman General W.R.H Goodier Commissioner". Another wall plaque reads, " This refurbished building was opened and dedicated to the Glory of God by Commissioner Dinsdale L. Pender 1 November 1992 Eva Burrows General Dinsdale L. Pender Territorial Commander".

The Building now houses the Salvation Army.
