History and Architecture:
St Columba Uniting Church as it was formally known was built to the design of architect John Sulman following early Christian basilica style. The Church was opened for Divine Service on 8 March 1890 as a Presbyterian Church. The first minister was Rev. John Walker (1855-1941). Designed in the early Federation era, the building is a fusion of the Romanesque and Free Classical styles.
