Built of Pyrmont sandstone in the Gothic Revival style with a shingle roof, the church has a spire, porch, gallery and vestries. It was designed by Architect Edmund Blacket on land donated by T.S. Mort. The spire was added in 1875 and donated by William Laidley. St Mark's was opened for Divine Service on November 7, 1852.
