The land for the Church was originally purchased from Peter Bertrue for £25, stumps were donated by W Payne. Mr C.F. Luhrs arranged for a stump ceremony as a means of fund raising.The Church plan was drawn up by Henry Marks of Toowoomba. The Church was dedicated at 11am on Sunday 3rd of May 1936 by J.W. Wand Archbishop of Brisbane.

The Church was built in 1931. A Foundation stone reads, " A.D.M.G. In memory of our fallen soldiers. This Foundation stone of the Church of St Andrew's was laid on 31st October 1931 by the Ven Joseph Pike Archdeacon of Goulburn".

As early as 8 January 1875 land was dedicated on the present site of St Mark's for an Anglican Church and Parsonage. The Church was consecrated on 15 November 1902. The name of the Church reflects a family who lived in the district who donated a £1,000 to the established of the church.
Taroona, TAS - St Luke's Anglican

Early services were held in the local Community hall from 1902 and later in the Presbyterian church. The church is made of a concrete block and cost £5,000 and was built in 1956. Additions were made in 1969.
