A plaque on the Church wall reads, The church was built in 1885 for a cost of £205 all of which was raised by donations. It was dedicated on the 27th September 1885 by Bishop Mesac Thomas. Apart from replacing some of the sub floor stumps and the iron roof and reinforcing the eastern wall, the building remains in its original state.
